VOICE LESSONS & ENTERTAINMENT
I discovered my passion for singing from my paternal grandparents. I was in fourth grade. We were on vacation down at the Jersey Shore and some opera came on TV. It was the tenor Mario Lanza. As I watched riveted, tears rolled down my Italian grandfather cheeks. He was overjoyed that I appreciated the fine singing. Soon after, they took me out to select a grand piano to enhance my studies. Today I still use that shiny black grande piano as well as my keyboards for my own practice and for shaping my students futures in their varied areas of interest
When I was in 5th grade the Metropolitan Opera came to my school in Upper Saddle River, NJ and auditioned interested kids in my town and all over Bergen County for a select group that would be in the children’s chorus of La Boheme. I was selected. The Metropolitan Opera voices and acting (especially that of the flamboyant Musetta) filled me with excitement and joy! Ever since then I have been performing opera and musical theatre and sharing that knowledge with my with my students.
We take children's interests very seriously.
And beginners of all Ages have deep inside them the incredible potential for self-expression through music.
Whatever your age or experience - there is no time like the present to get started on your musical goals.
I have noticed through the decades that starting young really can lead to amazing things in middle school, high school and even scholarships to college music programs.
Starting as an adult also brings out talent that had laid dormant for so long due to lack of nurturing and professional development of that talent. Adults do amazingly well. They report that lessons are a huge therapy session because it feels so wonderful to discover their voices and express themselves in their favorite songs.
Senior citizens too have reported similar experiences during lessons! Most all perform at the recitals. Some become very strong leaders of their church choirs after decades of feeling insecure.
